Society Visit To Winchester & Beaulieu

Society Visit To Winchester & Beaulieu

Our society trip to Winchester and Beaulieu – Saturday June 25th 2016.

We left Hollow Rd, Kingswood ,Bristol at 8.15 am arriving in Winchester at 10am Members then had three hours to look at the town , visit the Cathedral and various Museums that Winchester is known for.

We left at 1.00pm for our second stop of the day , Beaulieu . There we found a wonderful old house , full of history , artefacts, paintings etc. Of course Beaulieu is also well known for its wonderful collection of Cars and Motor Cycles, which seemed to bring back lots of memories to quite a few of our members .

We left there at 6.00 pm arriving back in Kingswood at 8.10pm , with everybody remarking what a great day out it had been. The Kingswood History Society wishes to thank Sport Relief Community Cash for funding this outing . Thanks also to Quartet Community Foundation for administering this Grant.

We have posted a series of photos from our trip, please feel free to tag yourself or indeed to post any photos you may like to share.
