Society Trip To Stratford upon Avon

Society Trip To Stratford upon Avon

Members of Kingswood History Society boarded their Coach to Stratford upon Avon . We left Kingswood Park a few minutes past 8.30am, arriving approx 10.20am. We were expecting rain, but the weather there was fine and sunny, although it did turn to rain later in the day. Members had nearly five hours to have some lunch and take advantage all that Stratford could offer. We had a boat trip booked for 3pm, by the time we boarded, it was raining fairly hard.

The boat company, Bancroft Cruisers, were quite brilliant and the running commentary by a member of their staff was very amusing and entertaining . We left at 5pm and enjoyed a pleasant trip home arriving just after 6.30pm.

The Society would like to thank the following for making this trip possible. Chauffeur Hire Coaches of Chipping Sodbury with Paul, our driver, who we know quite well. Stephen and Sally Trinder of Grassroots Fund and Quartet Community Foundation who adminster the fund. Our thanks go to all of you.

Here follows a selection of images from our day, which we hope you will enjoy!
